Joanna Konjevod is a fashion stylist and designer. Her work spans international print, editorial, commercial, and broadcast television, as well as digital new media and cinema.
Fiercely independent, at 17 she moved to London to study Shakespearean Theatre and was influenced greatly by the rock n’ roll scene of the London underground and the drag queens of the red-light district.
In the early 90’s, Joanna moved from SoHo London to SoHo New York. A fateful encounter at the East Village legendary Café Tabac, led to an assignment on a photo-shoot in Mexico City. Inspired, she embarked on her career at Italian Vogue, working with visionary stylists as Alex White, Edward Enninful, and Brana Wolf on shoots with iconic photographers Steven Meisel and Mario Testino.
In 2000, Joanna returned home to her native Los Angeles and began her current career in film and television.
Joanna has been lauded for both her versatility and fluency. Her work straddles couture and counter-culture, inspired by childhood experiences in pre-war Croatia, residencies and travels throughout the European continent, and sojourn in post-Pinochet Chile.
Joanna currently resides between Los Angeles, California and Dubrovnik, Croatia
